1st song on appearing on It Stinks, length x:xx minutes

A melodic ballad – the groups “commercial” song on It Stinks – Love Lives Here No More contains surprisingly few overdubs, solos etc. It is one of the most simple of the group's “quiet” songs.

Michael: this was supposed to be our “hit” on It Stinks, as it turns out there are several other songs on this album that had more hit-quality, but I still think it is a nice track! I think we tried really hard to get it as simple as possible for the first time here. Listen to the keyboard - for example - it's like one-finger stuff all the way, but it plays well with the rest of the music.

Junior: I remember that Ole said "don't open the album with a waltz!". You just don't do that, the only person ever to get away with that was Billy Joel with Piano Man. Personally, I feel it was the right way to open the CD. Brilliant melody with one of Billy's trademark guitar-licks in the chorus. Proof that the simple things often work better...

Love Lives Here No More, lyrics:

Love lives here no more, it moved out for good
Love certainly lives here no more, I thought she understood
Love lives here no more, maybe I was blind
Love certainly lives here no more, I think it’s the end of the line

So why am I smiling, when I should cry
So why am I living, she expects me to die

Love lives here no more, it’s empty in here
Love certainly lives here no more, I once held her so dear
Love lives here no more, it moved out for good
Love certainly lives here no more, I thought she understood

So why am I smiling…

These are the days when life begins, these are the days when life begins
These are the days when I get pissed

So why am I smiling…

So why am I smiling…

Why am I living
